What’s Your Number? Trends in the Yonomi Home

A survey by Coldwell Banker earlier this year found that nearly half of Americans either already own smart home technology or plan to buy it in 2016. That same survey found that most people think a home needs to have at least three categories (lighting, security, temperature, etc) of smart home products for it to be considered smart.

We were curious, so we took a look at our usage data from last month and found that the average Yonomi user connects 7 smart home devices to our app and regularly uses 5 Routines.

A single Routine can be quite powerful – involving multiple products and taking care of multiple actions. For example, one of the most popular Routines our users ran last month is called “Everything Off” – which can conveniently turn off multiple devices (lights, Sonos, TV, etc) when you leave the house or before you go to bed.

We wanted to see where our power users in the U.S. are located, so we sorted the location of our users by the average number of Routines regularly used.

How does your Yonomi Home compare? What are your most used Routines?

In our next few posts, we’ll share trends we have observed about the most popular types of Routines adding convenience and comfort to our users’ homes – not just in the U.S. but around the world. Yonomi is now used across more than 140 countries.
