If you’re looking for a one-stop shop for automating your smart home routines, you’re in the right place. Yonomi is a smart home hub that lives on your smartphone and is available on both iOS and Android. The app makes it possible to manage your smart home devices, getting them synced up and working together to create personalized routines for optimal home comfort and convenience. With Yonomi-powered apps and devices, our partners are able to make every room in the home come to life.

Here’s how to sign up and get started.

  1. First, download and install the Yonomi App. Tap ‘Create an Account’ to sign up for Yonomi, or ‘Sign In’ if you already have an account.

  2. A “Discover Your Devices” screen will pop up. Tap 'Start Discovery' if you are adding devices for the first time, or refresh your current list of devices and accounts by tapping on the Things tab and pulling down until the spinning wheel appears.

  3. The discovery process will show you two types of integrations:

    • Accounts: any cloud integrations we currently support. You will need to sign into your Accounts using your associated credentials, but will then be able to control your devices from anywhere using Yonomi without being connected to your home WiFi.

    • Devices: other devices that Yonomi can communicate with directly over your home’s local WiFi. Note: For these Local Devices, you have to use the same WiFi that those devices are connected to.

  4. Refresh the Things tab and go to the Accounts & Hubs page to see all of your existing cloud accounts. If the app discovered any Accounts, it will walk you through the setup process for those one-by-one.

    • On iOS go to Settings > Accounts & Hubs.

    • On Android tap on the hamburger icon in the top left to find Accounts & Hubs.

  5. Find your newly discovered devices under the tab labeled “Things.” Things are existing devices, and you can sort them by device type, manufacturer, or alphabetical order using the Up/Down icon. The “Y” button restarts the discovery process if you’re connected to a new wifi to discover new devices.

Step II: Run Routines

After you’ve discovered new devices, tap the “Routines” tab to view common routines you can run with the app. This tab is where you can view and edit all of your existing routines, as well as create new routines.

  1. You have the following options within the Routines tab:

    • Tap “Run” to run your routines manually.

    • Edit the routine by tapping the “Edit” button.

    • Tap the gear icon to set up a routine to run automatically based on a scheduled time or automatic trigger. (Ex: Vacation Routine)

    • Tap the + icon is to create a new routine.

  2. The “Favorites” tab is your main control board where you can manually trigger routines. The tab will show you routines with custom colors and icons, and these routines can be edited or deleted at any time.

    • To edit Favorites, hold down on the icon (like you would an IPhone home screen) to pull up toggles. Tap the gear icon to customize the icon and color and to edit your routine. Hit the x button to delete the Favorite from your home screen.

    • To add a new Favorite, tap the + icon on the top right of the screen, which will pull up any routines that aren’t saved as Favorites. Next, pick your desired icon/color for the Routine, and press save.

    • The “Ideas” tab is where you can see suggestions for new smart home routines based on the devices you already own and have connected.

    • The “Settings” tab is where you can edit your account, view and edit your devices and accounts, and contact support.
