We’re thrilled to welcome Jim Franklin to Yonomi’s board of directors. Jim is a successful entrepreneur with deep experience building enterprise software and cloud-based service businesses. He served as CEO of SendGrid from 2011 to 2014, leading the company through a period of massive growth.
Jim’s experiences and insights will be beneficial to Yonomi as we continue our rapid growth offering solutions that simplify the smart home for both consumers and device manufacturers. In the past year, the user base of our consumer app has grown by more than 475%. We now help people across more than 150 countries connect their devices and customize Routines to get more out of their smart homes. Recently, we launched Yonomi Thin Cloud, a lightweight, serverless solution for device manufacturers to connect their products to the cloud and get to market quickly.

Prior to his tenure with SendGrid, Jim was the Vice President of Enterprise Performance Management and the General Manager of the Crystal Ball Global Business Unit of Oracle Corporation. The Crystal Ball Global Business Unit was formed in 2007 as a part of the acquisition of Hyperion Solutions. At Hyperion, Jim served as VP and General Manager. Jim had held the roles of Decisioneering’s CEO, CFO and VP of Sales prior to Decisioneering’s acquisition by Hyperion. Decisioneering was the maker of the Crystal Ball brand of software. Mr. Franklin was also the founder of webfamilies.com and the CFO of Vericept Corporation.
Jim also serves on the boards of startups aWhere, Fluorofinder, Cloud-elements, Parkifi, Section,io, and the Boulder-Denver Software Club. Jim has been a mentor for Techstars, Boomtown, Galvanize, Mergelane, Travelport, CU Boulder and a facilitator for the Founder Institute.
